For fear of being sued by Mazda, we won’t use their tag line from the TV commercial. Still, every time one of us here at KnifeCenter flicks one of these new Zoom assisted openers, we hear the little kid saying...well, you know. Seriously, SOG has refined their assist mechanism to the point that it is faster than most autos!
Using SOG’s patented assisted opening technology, the Zoom series of knives are quick to open and a pleasure to hold and to use. The aluminum handle on this model makes the knife lightweight, versatile, and best of all - durable.

Zoom is a new word in the SOG lexicon and it’s bestowed upon a line of lightweight folding knives that open for action using SOG’s patented Assisted Technology. The full size Zoom, with a blade length of 3.6", is a snap to open with one just one hand, and the aluminum handle keeps it light and nimble. With a low profile and a reversible pocket clip, it’s a perfect choice for an everyday carry.

The term “Lifetime” refers to the lifetime of the product. This doesn’t mean your lifetime or ours, but rather the lifetime of the components and materials. All materials degrade over time with use and exposure to the elements and a product’s lifetime is a function of how much use it gets and how well it is cared for and not by how it is.
