The Phantom Series Double Action Out The Front Knife features a 440c Stainless Steel blade. The blade can be quickly deployed with the ambidextrous sliding button. Pushing forward on the button deploys the blade out the front of the handle and pressing backwards on the button retracts the blade back into the handle where it is ready again to be deployed at a moments notice. The 3.9″ blade comes standard with an aggressive partially serrated edge giving you tearing and cutting power making it a great all purpose blade. The blade is exceptional at both piercing and slicing due to its shape. The handle is patterned for non-slip handling in any environment. The metal pocket clip is reversible and can be carried in the button back or button front positions. When clipped into the pocket it has a nice low profile “ride”. The end of the knife features a glass breaker pommel designed to shatter glass or break anything else you might need to in case of an emergency.

I’ve been using this knife literally every day for over a year. We have been through a lot together and she never leaves my side. Best knife I could have asked for. I do need to replace the blade due to a recent incident with a paper shredder but hands down is the best shovel, box cutter, seal breaker, fingernail cleaner, letter opener (and so much more) that money can buy. It’s always the envy of the room when I pull this thing out to use it. Thank you for making a quality tool!
1st thing, it’s shipped to you as quick as possible. Beautifully designed, it has some weight to it which is what I wanted. The clip is precise so even on your thinnest pockets the knife will not come loose, I’ve lost a few Kershaws. To deploy the blade will take some pressure, but there after the action is swift and firm, it’s enough for it to also act as a slight safety measure, so you really deploy it accidentally. The pricing is right on the money, personally I would have loved if it was made in the USA entirely. Verdict, Great product.

Went to the local hardware store that carries Benchmade OTFs. Took my Viper Tech out and compared it to the quality of their Benchmade knives. I was impressed, I found them equal in quality. VT is my go to maker of OTFs.
Excellent materials and smooth action. Feels and works like a much, much expensive knife. I will definitely recommend this knife for EDC or tactical. This is my second Viper Tec knife, but it won't be my last.

This knife seems to be a solid knife for the most part. The only thing I don’t like about it is that the blade is a little loose and has some play in it. When you go to cut something the blade moves as you apply pressure to what you are cutting but all in all besides that it’s a pretty decent knife for the money. The handle is solid and so far seems to be a solid knife for the money. I probably will order another knife but hopefully viper-tec will try to fix this issue with this particular knife.

Coolest knife I own by far. 3 stars. They won't post less than 4. The rubberized finish feels good but you can see the finish wearing off after one week in my pocket. Needs a cerakote finish for a solid 5 stars tho.

Excellent knife overall. When you factor in the low price, it’s downright exceptional. Even though the blade on this one is the less exotic 440 stainless, it still arrived razor sharp. This is my 3rd VT OTF knife, and I’ll definitely be buying more. The lockup on this one, as with my other 2, is solid, and the action is fast & strong. The only “negative” about this knife, is the heavier weight of the zinc alloy handle. Keep up the excellent work, VT!

Not bad at all. Feels well built, good weight to it, blade has a bit of play in it when extended, but otherwise a good knife.
