The Gatling gun was invented by 1861 by Richard Gatling and saw its first action in the American Civil War. This gun would go on to be a game changer in many wars until the invention of automatic weapons.
Today the Gatling gun is obsolete, but that does not mean it would not be fun to shoot, but if you want to shoot one you might have a problem. They are rare and expensive. So most people will never get the chance.
However, there is a more economical option. A man from Texas built a Gatling gun style weapon using six SKS rifles. He dropped the stocks and attached them to a tripod with a crank system that pulled each trigger as he spun them around.
The guns would fire as fast as you could crank and boy did they put a lot of led down range.
