The action is smooth right out of the box. I have several viper Tec knives and enjoy them all. Buy one, buy two they will not disappoint you.
One of my favorites so far very well made.
I like all of my Viper Tec autos and I really like this one. It is well built, has good strong quick action. However, the big reason I love it is the size of it and its' light weight. It is a good 7.5" pocket knife, but what makes it so good is the overall weight of the knife. This may be the lightest Viper Tec knife I own and that is out of 60-70 VT knives.
