The action on the blade flipping out with just the touch of a button was awesome. The only drawback was it took two hands to close. Pressing the same button that releases the blade out is the button you push to unlock the blade in order to close it. You cannot flip the blade to close it takes two hands one to push button and hold the knife while you push blade back to closed position. Things you find in more expensive knives but for the money it’s a really good knife, solid feel, smooth action, and so far holds an edge real well. I have D2 steel in a number of knives and found it to be a reliable middle of the road steel that is tough and yet still holds an edge and sharpens fairly easy. Especially with diamond stones.

This is my third Viper-Tec purchase. The knife is lite weight, sharp and feels good in hand. I recommend this blade as a full time carry or a skinning knife.
Nice knife, locks up tight when opened, no jiggle. lightweight, comfortable carry. Great for when you’re wearing gloves.
I love my VT it is light fast and sharp . I also have a kershaw launch 1 but the release button is not as smooth as the VT and it is a little heavier overall the VT is my go too knife

Great knife. I have several Viper Tech knives over the years. OTF and Switch Blades. All have been very good. I think from what I have, this seems to be a great fit for EDC. Somewhat light and very quick release.
