Nice discount and fast shipping. Kind of a thin blade, but hopefully D2 makes up for that. Nice light handle with a small footprint, carries very well. Seems to have better spring energy than the knife i bought from VT years ago that stopped working.
Being that this is my first OTF, I love it! It works the way it should, its lightweight,yet seems to be made well & very durable. If your on the fence about purchasing, dont be. You won't be disappointed.
The Emperor D2 is a heck of a nice knife. It comes sharp out of the box, not razor sharp, but sharp enough to do anything you’d need except shave. The steel is very nice, tough, and quite hard. It’s more difficult to sharpen than softer steel, but it really holds an edge well. The steel also takes a nice polish. The action of the knife is very quick and snappy. It does only have one spring, but it’s very strong. The internal bar that works the locking mechanism is polished. The guide rails are milled directly into the body of the aluminum handle. The blade has a very snug fit in the handle with no wobbling. The internals are minimally oiled.

I purchased a Hendrix dagger OTF which failed day 1. I then had issues with getting a response from customer service. However I managed to speak with Chris, the founder of Vipertec. He was extremely helpful in a very prompt way. He offered to send me a replacement without even asking for the faulty knife back. I requested he send a D2 emperor and he happily obliged. It arrived today and I have to say that it exceeded my expectations. It is a great quality OTF and is up there with my micro techs and benchmades. Well don’t guys. Great OTF

This knife is peak and everything about it is goated. I was not expecting it to be heavy but it does feel like a good quality. The switch mechanism was hard for me to push up and down, Bre they make it looks so easy in the video review but that’s because I got no grip in my hands so I need to work out. The blade is hella sharp and it deploys out so fast which is good and lastly the window breaker is hard and sturdy, you can probably break someone skull with that. Over all the knife is superior and I highly recommend it, No cap 🧢 y’all.
As you can tell by the pictures I am a fan of viper tec knives. This knife has very little movement and opens easy. The knife came sharp but could be a little sharper. Viper Tec also has great deals to where you can get free knives. This knife looks real good and gets the job done.
I've had this knife for a little over a year and it works exactly like it did the day I took it out of the box. I'm not a knife expert so I've been researching the differences between Viper Tec and the manufacturers that charge $500.00-$600.00 and I can't find, see, or feel any difference. They're built with the same D2 steel as this one but the over priced ones don't feel as durable. I can on guess Viper Tec stands behind their "lifetime" warranty because it can't be hard to do when your product doesn't go bad. I think the only way to damage one is by using it as a crowbar. My knife is like my American Express, I don't leave home without it. A year later I'm still looking for a flaw and I can't find one. Other reviews say they're good for the money, I say they're good period. I'd say if you're not happy with this knife then you probably shouldn't buy a knife. It has yet to let me down.
This knife waaay exceeded my expectations. I had previously purchased a mini otf that had an issue with the blade edges hitting the sides of the body on deployment, thereby, dulling the edge with every deployment. The Emporer does not share this malady. Fires hard every time. I prefer the side mounted buttons especially on dual edge otfs. Makes it completely ambidextrous. This blade came with even grinds on both sides and both slice paper perfectly. Not hair popping sharp but a great working edge.
I’m a police detective, and this Viper-Tec OTF knife is my everyday carry. It’s solid, reliable, and opens fast every time. The lockup is tight, the grip feels great, and it’s easy to handle even with gloves on. It’s built tough, holds a good edge, and fits perfectly in my duty gear. For the price, you can’t go wrong — this thing just works when you need it. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a dependable EDC.
This is my 4th knife from Viper Tec and by far my favorite! The action is incredible and easier than others. My wife wants one now too because it's not as hard to open as the one she carries.

Sharp, but could be sharper, but it was an easy fix... The steel is quality, really hard steel so it's easy to put a razor sharp edge on it...I ordered 3 knives, 2 orders....i got a confirmation email showing my receipt and it said my order was shipped, had pic of both knives for that order, however when my package showed up 6 days ago with it only had 1 knife...i could have ordered a knife from Europe and gotten it in less time...I have tried calling over 6 times and I get answering machine every time.... I can't leave a message because I'm not available for return calls during their business hours, which are like 11am-5pm....I'm starting to wonder if I am going to get my full order.... other than that I really didn't have anything negative to say about the knife
The Emperor is a really nice OTF knife.. Super smooth action and beautiful finish on the D2 blade. The factory edge was decent and the knife is surprisingly light weight and will make a great EDC

I originally ordered two Black Phantom OTFs, one for me, and one for my dad, but after about 3 weeks, they upgraded me because it would have taken an extra 6 weeks to ship those. so i got the VT Emperor and my dad got the Damascus one. overall a very high quality knife, I love the opening action, love the fell and build quality, and am a huge fan of American products.
Such a well-crafted and beautiful blade! I was taken back at how light it feels in the hand. I have a Phantom OTF, which is is significantly heavier in comparison to the Venom. I also appreciate the quick response of the Customer Service department. Thank you!
This addiction of ViperTec knives , especially the OTF’s has brought me to somewhere around 13-14 different VT’s. I have a few mini OTF, I have 2 small OTF knives and many large or full sized. Out of ALL of them this knife has the smallest amount (ZERO) of blade “play”! This blade DOES NOT WIGGLE! Came sharp as you know what, and again I have NEVER seen a OTF knife with NO wiggle or play, NONE. Maybe I got lucky and got a perfect one?!! SWEET!!!!!
Seems great so far, the last inch of the blade slightly rubs on one side when retracted but so far that has not impeded proper function so I couldn’t care less. Very sharp and good grip for your thumb on action. For the price I like it better than any Cobratec. Hopefully she holds up.
Pretty good OTF, nice sharpness to the blade. Screws and glass breaker were a little loose but I was able to tighten those up with a Torx bit. Activation switch is not too loose or too stiff. Definitely recommend getting one of you haven't done so.

Originally I emailed viper tec to inquire about buying some screws for a knife a friend gave me. I was so impressed by thier support tech I bought a newer version. It is lighter smoother operation than the one given to me. Has a very solid feel and no blade play when deployed. I have many quality knifes and this one is fast becoming a favorite. Fits in the hand nicely.

Was out of stock when I first looked. I understand why after receiving mine. I got on in stock notice list. Ordering was as easy as it gets and I I was surprised to get it a lot quicker than expected. The knife is light weight, has a good look, has a sturdy feel and fits nicely in the hand. Good solid quality. Price was great!!!
The knife is very good. It is quite dull, but I can fix that. The switch operation is very solid and clean. It is a good fit in my hand. I am pleased with the knife.
